With over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, Annie has dedicated her career to supporting both adults and children across a variety of settings. Annie's passion lies in helping children and their families, with a particular focus on those navigating behavioral challenges. She believes that relationships are the most powerful vehicle for change, and partners with caregivers to reframe their understanding of a child’s behavior; fostering connection, empathy, and growth.
Annie's approach integrates directive and non-directive play therapy, sand tray work, and other relationship-based interventions. She is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and specialize in supporting adults and children who have experienced trauma, relational disruptions, or other significant stressors. Annie has training in diagnosing and treating young children ages 0–5 using the DC:0–5 diagnostic framework. She is also certified in Experiential Play Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Child-Parent Psychotherapy, allowing her to tailor interventions that meet each family’s unique needs.
As a Certified Conscious Discipline Instructor, Annie weaves the principles of Conscious Discipline into her work; helping families build safety, connection, and problem-solving skills. Her ultimate goal is to empower caregivers and children to build healthy, resilient relationships that create lasting change.
